Best Hotels near Water Parks in Rimini for Families (2026)
5 family-friendly hotels with water park in Rimini . Handpicked for families who want the best.
Rimini sits at the centre of three major water parks within a 20-minute drive: Aquafan in Riccione (3 km of slides, open June to September), Beach Village right on Riccione's seafront, and Mirabeach at Mirabilandia theme park. That concentration is unmatched in Italy. Hotels here cost 158 to 364 EUR/night for a family of four in July, which is roughly half of what you would pay in coastal Sardinia for the same star rating. Most Riccione hotels offer discounted or free park tickets as part of their packages. We picked 5 hotels rated 8.7 or higher on Booking.com, all with confirmed water park access and real family amenities. If you are visiting Sardinia for kids clubs or Rome for spa hotels, Rimini makes a strong add-on for the water park days your kids will demand. And if you want the Aegean alternative with ultra all-inclusive resorts, see our Bodrum all-inclusive picks.
Rimini is flat, stroller-friendly, and built for summer families. The lungomare (seafront promenade) stretches 15 km with bike lanes, gelato stands, and free public beaches every 200 metres. Trains from Bologna take 65 minutes (Trenitalia, from 9 EUR). The old town around Ponte di Tiberio and Piazza Cavour is compact and walkable for an evening stroll with kids. For rainy days, Rimini has the interactive Fellini Museum and Italia in Miniatura (a park with 270 miniature Italian landmarks). Restaurants serve piadina (Romagna flatbread, 4-6 EUR) everywhere and most have highchairs without asking.
🎢Why Rimini is Italy's best base for water park holidays
Aquafan in Riccione is the park most families build their trip around. It has been running since 1987, which means the infrastructure is mature, not improvised. The children's area is genuinely separate from the thrill slides, so you can park a 5-year-old at Elephant Pool while older kids hit the Kamikaze. Entry costs around 28 EUR for adults and 22 EUR for kids over 100cm; under 100cm is free. Many Riccione hotels sell combo tickets at the front desk for 10-15% less than gate price.
Beach Village is the smaller, more relaxed option. It sits directly on the beach in Riccione and has four slides, two pools, and a kids club. If your children are under 7, this is honestly the better choice than Aquafan because the scale is less overwhelming. Several hotels within walking distance include free Beach Village entry in their rate.
Mirabeach is attached to Mirabilandia, the Romagna region's big theme park, about 25 minutes north of Rimini by car. It combines a wave pool, lazy river, and a handful of slides with the option to cross into the main theme park. A combo ticket (theme park plus water park) runs about 45 EUR for adults. It is the best option if your kids want both roller coasters and water slides in the same day.
Parent's take
We spent five nights in Riccione and visited all three parks. Day one at Aquafan was the highlight for our 8-year-old, who went down the Kamikaze slide eleven times. Our 5-year-old preferred Beach Village because she could see us from every slide. Mirabeach was good but the 25-minute drive felt long after a morning at the beach. The real surprise was how affordable eating out is in Rimini. Piadina for 5 EUR, pizza for 7 EUR, gelato for 3 EUR. We budgeted 150 EUR per day for food and activities for four people and came in under that every single day.

Why families love Hotel Concord
The pool area was the best surprise. Our kids spent every morning there before we headed to Aquafan in the afternoon. The front desk sold us park tickets at a discount without us even asking. Rooms are modern, breakfast buffet is generous with fresh pastries and local cheese. The only downside is the 364 EUR price tag, but for a 4-star in July with this location, it tracks.

Hotel Grazia Riccione
Riccione beachfront
Excellent
704 reviews
Beachfront 3-star hotel with a private beach area and free bicycle rental. Water park partnerships include Beach Village, a 10-minute walk along the seafront. The kid-friendly buffet at breakfast is a standout.

Why families love Hotel Grazia Riccione
The private beach section was a lifesaver. No fighting for umbrellas at 7am like at the public beaches. We walked to Beach Village in 10 minutes along the lungomare. The kid buffet at breakfast had pancakes, fruit, and Nutella crepes, which meant zero complaints from our two fussy eaters. Rooms are simple but the beachfront location and 211 EUR price make this a smart mid-range pick.

Hotel Marina
Riccione beachfront

121 reviews
Beachfront 3-star hotel with three on-site restaurants, airport shuttle, and water park partnerships. Located on Viale Verga in central Riccione, walking distance to both Beach Village and the main shopping street.

Why families love Hotel Marina
Three restaurants in one hotel meant we never had to search for dinner with tired kids. The beachfront location is fantastic. Our 8-year-old could see the sea from the balcony and was up at 6:30am every morning wanting to go. The walk to Beach Village took 12 minutes along the promenade. At 181 EUR a night, this is excellent value for what you get.

Budget-friendly 3-star beachfront hotel with a children's playground, games room, table tennis, and billiards. Directly on the sand with water park partnerships for Aquafan and Beach Village.

Why families love Hotel Meeting
At 158 EUR per night for four people in July, this was a steal. The kids ran straight to the playground after breakfast every morning. The beach is literally across the road. The rooms are basic but clean, and the balcony was a lifesaver for drying swimsuits overnight. The staff handed us Aquafan discount flyers at check-in without us asking.

Hotel Adriatica
Southern Riccione
Excellent
753 reviews
Upper-mid-range 3-star hotel with an outdoor swimming pool, garden, and a private beach section. Located in quieter southern Riccione, closer to Aquafan than the central hotels. Water park access confirmed in Booking facilities.
From
€280/night
Why families love Hotel Adriatica
We chose this hotel because it is the closest to Aquafan on foot. About 15 minutes walking or 5 minutes by bike. The outdoor pool is small but the kids loved it for the morning splash before heading to the park. The garden is shaded and fenced, so we let the 5-year-old run around while we had coffee on the terrace. The private beach was less crowded than central Riccione.
💡How to pick the right hotel near Rimini's water parks
- 1Buy Aquafan tickets at your hotel reception, not at the gate. Most Riccione hotels sell them for 10-15% off. Ask when you check in.
- 2Go to Aquafan right at opening (10:00) and head straight to the children's area at the back. By noon, the queue for Elephant Pool triples.
- 3Beach Village closes earlier than Aquafan (18:00 vs 18:30). If you only have time for one afternoon, Aquafan has more slides but Beach Village is calmer for under-7s.
- 4Rent bikes from your hotel (most lend them free) and ride the lungomare to dinner. It is flat, lit, and car-free after 7pm in summer. Kids love it.
- 5If you want Mirabeach plus Mirabilandia, go on a weekday. Weekend queues for rides can hit 40 minutes. The combo ticket saves about 12 EUR vs buying separately.
