Best Hotels with Indoor Pools in Rimini for Families (2026)

5 family-friendly hotels with indoor pool in Rimini . Handpicked for families who want the best.

Rimini's 15 km of sandy Adriatic beaches draw millions of families every summer, but between April and mid-June the weather is genuinely unpredictable. One day it's 28°C and perfect; the next it's overcast with a cold wind off the sea. That's when an indoor pool saves the holiday. We picked 5 hotels with heated indoor pools in Rimini, ranging from 113 to 344 EUR per night for a family of four. Every hotel was verified on Booking.com with real prices and ratings. Some of these pools are tucked inside full wellness centres with saunas and jacuzzis. Others sit under retractable roofs that open on sunny days. If you're also planning beach time, check our guide to beach-access hotels in Rimini for the best beachfront options.

Rimini splits into two cities. The beachfront strip runs for 15 km along the Adriatic, packed with beach clubs (stabilimenti) that charge 15-25 EUR/day for an umbrella and two loungers. Behind the beach, the Borgo San Giuliano neighbourhood has pastel-coloured houses, murals dedicated to Federico Fellini, and trattorias serving proper piadina for 4-6 EUR. The Parco Fellini at the seafront has a playground and is stroller-friendly. Getting around is easy: the free shuttle bus connects the train station to the beach every 15 minutes in summer. The Rimini-San Marino cable car reopened in 2025 and is a 15-minute ride that kids go wild for. For rainy days beyond the pool, the Museo Fellini (free for under 18s) and the Domus del Chirurgo Roman ruins are both in the historic centre. If your kids love water parks near Rimini, Aquafan in Riccione is a 20-minute bus ride away.

🏊Why an indoor pool matters when visiting Rimini with kids

Most indoor pools in Rimini hotels are part of larger spa and wellness centres, which means they tend to be smaller than the outdoor pools. Sizes range from 26 square metres at the Baia Imperiale to 100 square metres at the Yes Hotel Touring. Heated to between 28 and 32 degrees Celsius, they are comfortable for kids year-round. Be aware that some spa pools restrict children to specific time slots, usually mornings before noon, so check the hotel's policy before booking.

The real value of an indoor pool in Rimini is during shoulder season. May and early June offer significantly cheaper rates, fewer crowds at the Roman ruins and Fellini Museum, and pleasant walking weather. But the sea temperature sits around 18 to 20 degrees, which is too cold for most kids. An indoor heated pool bridges that gap perfectly. You get the lower prices of off-season Rimini with a guaranteed swimming option every day.

Water temperature matters more than pool size for children under 8. The hotels on this list heat their indoor pools to at least 28 degrees, which is warm enough for extended splashing without shivers. The Savoia Hotel goes further with a chromotherapy rain pool and cervical waterfalls in their 1,000 square metre spa. The Milton turns its heated jacuzzi pool over to families every morning, giving kids exclusive access before noon.

Parent's take

We visited Rimini in late May, expecting beach weather. Day one was gorgeous. Day two brought grey skies and rain that lasted through day four. Without the indoor pool at our hotel, we would have spent three days rotating between the Fellini Museum and pizzerias. Instead, the kids swam every morning, we explored the Borgo San Giuliano murals after lunch when the rain eased, and everybody stayed happy. The indoor pool turned what could have been a disappointing trip into one where we actually preferred the quieter, off-season version of Rimini.

Why families love Savoia Hotel Rimini

The spa alone justified the price. We spent a full afternoon rotating between the indoor heated pool, the salt room, and the outdoor infinity pool with a sea view. Our kids used the indoor pool in dedicated family time while we took turns in the sauna. The breakfast buffet is one of the best we've had in Italy, with fresh pastries, local cheeses, and an egg station. Location on Lungomare Murri is perfect for evening passeggiata.

Why families love Hotel Imperiale Rimini & SPA

We booked for a long weekend in early June and the weather turned cold on day two. The heated pool saved everything. It's not huge but it's warm, clean, and the kids spent two hours in there while we took turns in the sauna next door. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the garden was a highlight. Staff brought colouring books for our 5-year-old without us asking.

This is a splurge at 344 EUR per night, but the combination of indoor pool, outdoor pool, beachfront location, and beautiful garden made it worth every euro for our anniversary trip with the kids. The indoor pool is heated and calm, the garden has enough space for kids to run around, and the staff treated our children like VIPs. The in-room jacuzzi baths were an unexpected bonus. Breakfast spread was excellent with fresh croissants, local prosciutto, and fruit.

Why families love Hotel Milton Rimini

The morning family pool session was the highlight of our stay. From 8am to noon, the heated jacuzzi pool was ours. Our two kids loved the warm water and the novelty of having a pool to themselves. The baby spa concept sounds gimmicky but it genuinely works: calm music, warm water, gentle environment. The Art Nouveau building is beautiful and the beach is literally across the road. Breakfast was served on La Terrazza with sea views.

Why families love Hotel Panama Majestic

At 113 EUR a night for a family of four in July, this was a genuine bargain. The indoor pool is compact but clean and warm. Our kids preferred the outdoor pool during the day, then we moved to the covered rooftop hot tub in the evening. The kids' play area outside kept the 5-year-old busy between swims. Breakfast buffet was decent, not spectacular. The beach is a 3-minute walk, not beachfront, but the lower price more than compensates.

💡How to pick the right hotel with an indoor pool in Rimini

  • 1Book shoulder season (May or September) for the best value. Hotel rates drop 30-40% compared to July-August, the indoor pool keeps kids swimming, and you avoid the peak-season beach crowds that make Rimini's waterfront chaotic.
  • 2Ask about children's pool hours before booking. The Savoia restricts its spa to adults after certain hours, and the Milton opens its jacuzzi pool to families only in the morning. The Panama Majestic is more flexible with family access to its indoor pool throughout the day.
  • 3Combine indoor pool hotels with a day trip to Aquafan. The water park in Riccione is just 12 km south, reachable by bus line 125 in 20 minutes. Buy tickets online for 28 EUR per adult, 22 EUR for kids under 130 cm. It closes in September, so it complements your hotel indoor pool rather than replacing it.
  • 4The Rimini-San Marino cable car is a must-do for families. The ride costs 12 EUR round trip for adults, 6 EUR for kids 4-12, and the tiny republic at the top has three medieval towers, a toy museum, and gelato with views over the Adriatic.
  • 5Marina Centro is the best neighbourhood for families. All five hotels on this list are here, within walking distance of Parco Fellini playground, the beach, Borgo San Giuliano restaurants, and the historic centre. If you need childcare too, several of these hotels overlap with our kids club hotels in Rimini. Avoid the Viserba or Rivazzurra areas unless you have a car.
