Family Hotels in Costa Adeje with Golf Courses
5 family-friendly hotels with golf in Costa Adeje . Handpicked for families who want the best.
Costa Adeje is the cluster point for Tenerife golf families. Three courses sit inside a 15-minute drive — Golf Costa Adeje, Golf del Sur and Amarilla — and the Royal Hideaway and Bahia del Duque properties have negotiated package rates with all of them. Our five hotels share a stretch of beachfront less than 2 km long, so you can walk between three of them. Junior tee times start at 7am at Costa Adeje Golf during summer and 9am in winter, which lines up with the resort kids' clubs that open at 9:30 or 10. Siam Park is 10 minutes by car for the rest day.
Costa Adeje grew from an Adeje farming village into Tenerife's premier resort coast in 30 years, and the older residential streets still climb up the hill behind the seafront. The resort strip itself has a polished beach club rhythm — morning swim, lunch on a terrace, late afternoon sand games, dinner at 8pm. Walking the Paseo from Playa del Duque to Playa Fañabé takes 20 minutes and passes most of the beach clubs and kid-friendly restaurants families circle back to.
Why Costa Adeje works for golfing families
The first reason Costa Adeje works for golf families is the course concentration. Three courses inside 15 minutes (Costa Adeje, Golf del Sur, Amarilla) plus Abama 20 minutes west gives you four different layouts in a five-day stay without daily transfers eating into beach time. Costa Adeje Golf is the easiest walk and the most family-permissive — kids can ride along in buggies if accompanied by a paying adult, and the junior tee times are explicit on the booking page.
The second reason is the kids' club to tee time fit. Bahia del Duque opens its Castillo kids' club at 10am, Vincci La Plantación at 9:30, Royal Hideaway Corales at 10am with a 9:30 drop-off available. A 8:30 or 9:00 tee time at Costa Adeje Golf finishes by 1:00pm if you walk fast, leaving you back at the resort for a poolside lunch with the kids. The bigger resorts pre-book tee times for guests at booking, so you arrive with a confirmed five-day rotation.
Parent's take
What we've noticed in the bookings from Costa Adeje is that golf families pick this stretch over Las Américas because the resorts are quieter and the beach clubs filter the louder party crowd out. The 5-star concentration here is unusual for a Spanish resort coast. Repeat customers come for Christmas, February half-term and Easter, and the Royal Hideaway returns book a year ahead.

Why families love Royal Hideaway Corales Villas
Five nights in Easter with two kids aged 8 and 11. The villa setup gave each kid their own room and the plunge pool kept them happy between activities. We pre-booked Costa Adeje Golf for two mornings and Abama for one. Coral Mares kids' programme accepted the 8-year-old for full days and the 11-year-old for half days. The Atlantic-facing terrace at sunset was the parent-only ritual. Most expensive of our picks but the space matters with two kids.

Six nights in February with two kids 6 and 9. The two-bedroom suite has a separate kids' room with bunk beds — small but enough for the 6-year-old and his Lego. We played 4 rounds in 6 days at 3 different courses. The Coral Kids team gave us a daily printout of activities with photos at pickup. Beach club is shared with the Villas next door so the same lifeguards know your kids.

Vincci Selección La Plantación del Sur

Vincci Selección La Plantación del Sur is a colonial-style 5-star with eight pools across 6 hectares of gardens, a 4-12 kids' club, and a partner agreement with Costa Adeje Golf 5 minutes away. Why families love Vincci Selección La Plantación del Sur
Seven nights in October half-term with three kids 4, 7 and 10. The 4-year-old joined the baby pool club for two-hour sessions, the 7 and 10 year olds did the main kids' club. We played 5 rounds at Costa Adeje Golf and Golf del Sur. The walk from the resort to the beach (Playa del Duque) is 8 minutes through gardens. The teen-friendly games room kept the 10-year-old occupied during evening drinks.

Five nights in November with two kids aged 6 and 12. Mini Club worked from 10 to 5 with break. We played 3 rounds at Costa Adeje Golf using the resort shuttle which left at 7:30 each morning. The 12-year-old joined the teen programme one afternoon — beach paddle and snorkel at the cove below the resort. Quieter than the central Costa Adeje strip; the cove beach felt like a local secret.

Six nights in late October with two kids aged 7 and 10. Smaller resort than the others on this list, which made it easier for the kids to navigate independently. The all-inclusive included unlimited beach drinks and ice cream, which kept the kids cheerful. We played 4 rounds at Costa Adeje Golf and once at Golf del Sur. Best price-to-quality on this list — about 60% of the Royal Hideaway rate.
💡Tips for booking a family golf trip to Costa Adeje
- 1Pre-book the kids' golf academy at the same course as your tee time. Costa Adeje Golf and Abama both run junior sessions in the morning that line up with adult rounds. The hotels can confirm both bookings in the same email so you don't end up at different courses 25 minutes apart.
- 2Consider the resort golf package over à la carte rates. Bahia del Duque, Royal Hideaway and Vincci all offer 3 to 5 round packages that drop the per-round cost from 95 to 60 EUR including buggy. Worth doing the maths if you plan to play 3 or more times.
- 3Drive to Abama for the variety round, not the daily one. The Dave Thomas course is the most photographed on the island, but greens fees are 200 EUR plus and tee times are tight. Use it as the special outing on day 3 or 4.
- 4Book a south-facing room facing Playa Fañabé or Playa del Duque. The Atlantic-facing rooms get the morning sun and the evening sunset views, which matter when you're up at 6:45 for a 7:30 tee time and want to watch the kids on the beach in the afternoon.
- 5Avoid the August calima weeks. The Saharan dust events shut courses for half a day occasionally and make the air heavy. The tradewind microclimate keeps Costa Adeje at 22 to 26 °C from October through April with no calima — that's the family golf sweet spot.
