Best Costa Teguise Hotels with Kids Clubs for Families (2026)

5 family-friendly hotels with kids club in Costa Teguise . Handpicked for families who want the best.

Costa Teguise is the smallest of the three main Lanzarote resorts, and the most walkable. Everything is within a 20-minute stroll — five beaches, a small commercial centre, the water park. Kids clubs here have to work hard to stand out from the competition in Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca, which has driven up quality. The five hotels we picked run current programmes with trained entertainment teams, and four of them sit within 200m of sand. Costa Teguise also wins on water sports if you have older kids who want to try windsurfing or kayaking.

Costa Teguise is purposeful. It was designed in the 1970s by César Manrique's team as a tourist resort, and the layout shows — low buildings, white walls, landscaped green spaces between. There's no old town character, but also no tourist chaos. Family life here happens across a couple of shopping centres and the seafront walkway. Evenings are quiet. Restaurants run to pizza, pasta, and a few Spanish tapas spots. If you want nightlife, drive to Puerto del Carmen. If you want calm evenings after kids bedtime, this is it.

🧒Why Costa Teguise Works for Families

The water park proximity keeps Costa Teguise competitive for families. Aquapark is the only water park on Lanzarote and it's right here — a 10-minute walk for most of our picks. Several hotels include shuttle tickets or entry discounts in their kids club programming.

The other advantage is beach variety within walking distance. Playa del Jablillo is a toddler-safe cove; Playa de las Cucharas has the bigger waves and is where surfing lessons happen. Having both options in the same resort without needing to drive is rare for Lanzarote.

Parent's take

Costa Teguise suits families who want a base and not much else. If your holiday priority is pool-kids club-beach-repeat with a water park mid-week, this works perfectly. It's less interesting if you want to explore the island every day, because the drive to Timanfaya or Papagayo is longer from here than from Puerto del Carmen.

Why families love Golf y Mar B Suites

Apartment-style accommodation with a small kids programme ticked our 'self-catering but with entertainment' box. Our eight-year-old preferred it to the bigger hotels we'd stayed at elsewhere — fewer kids meant the team actually knew her name by day two. The pool gets full sun from 11am-4pm, so book shade early. The walk to Cucharas beach is pleasant but includes one busy road crossing. Breakfast buffet is optional at a supplement; we skipped it and used the apartment kitchen.

Why families love Oasis Lanz Beach Mate

Closest to the water park was the booking driver for us. The one-bedroom suite slept four comfortably and had a proper kitchen. Kids club programme was well-structured — printed timetables given at check-in, changes announced the day before. Staff patient with our Spanish-free six-year-old. Pools are spread across the complex which means a bit of walking between them, but each has its own character (a lap pool, a family pool, a quieter adult pool). The supermarket next door saved us a lot on essentials.

Why families love Barceló Lanzarote Royal Level

Royal Level felt a bit fancy for the kids but the lounge breakfast was brilliant — no queueing, proper made-to-order eggs. Our teen used the private lounge as his afternoon reading spot. Kids club is shared across the two wings so the entertainment team is well-resourced. The mid-week talent show had a proper sound system and was genuinely fun. Pool network is vast — we discovered a new one on day four. Priority restaurant booking made dinner planning easier than at other all-inclusives.

Why families love Barceló Lanzarote Active Resort

Active Resort was the better-value wing compared to Royal Level for a family. Same kids club, same pools, same restaurants as the premium wing at a lower rate. Active programme includes free tennis and fitness classes, which our 12-year-old loved. Our four-year-old lived in the children's pool. All-inclusive food quality dipped at dinner but lunch was consistently good. The buffet got crowded at 8pm; we learned to eat at 7pm on busy nights. Ask for a room in Block 4 for shortest walk to the main pool.

Why families love THB Lanzarote Beach

Being directly on Cucharas beach sold us this hotel. The waves at Cucharas are bigger than elsewhere in Costa Teguise which made it fun for our boogie-boarding ten-year-old. Kids club programme felt more scripted than the Fariones group hotels, but our kids were happy. All-inclusive was patchy — good at breakfast, samey by dinner four. The fountain in the children's pool was the real attraction for under-sixes. Staff helpful with windsurfing lesson bookings at the beach.

💡Booking Tips for Costa Teguise Kids Club Hotels

  • 1Aquapark Costa Teguise tickets are cheapest bought direct from the hotel reception (10-15% less than the gate). Ask on check-in. Some hotels throw in free tickets with week-long stays, but you have to request it.
  • 2Playa del Jablillo is the one to aim for with under-fives. It's a natural pool bordered by rocks that keeps the waves out. Walk-in depth is 30cm for 20 metres. Gets busy by 11am.
  • 3The Thursday market at the commercial centre is a solid morning out. Local crafts, pastries, and a small play area. Runs 9am-1pm. Free. Often has a kids' entertainer.
  • 4If you're visiting in November-March, confirm the kids club programme in writing. Shoulder season staffing is lighter and some hotels quietly reduce hours below what the brochure claims.
  • 5Book the Cucharas-side rooms at Barceló for beach noise. Ask for Jablillo-side rooms for quiet. The difference is noticeable if your child is a light sleeper.
