Family Hotels in Agadir with Tennis Courts
9 family-friendly hotels with tennis in Agadir . Handpicked for families who want the best.
Tennis with kids on a Moroccan beach holiday is a real thing - lots of Agadir resorts kept their courts after the 1980s package-tour boom. We split the list honestly: two hotels with full-size hard courts (Sofitel Thalassa and Allegro), three with table tennis only (Tildi, Almoggar and Dunes d'Or). All five have family rooms, beach access and the year-round 22-28C climate that makes outdoor play work nine months a year. Court rental fees and racquet hire policies are listed where we could verify them.
Agadir is a French-speaking resort city rebuilt after the 1960 earthquake, so the buildings are modern and the streets are wide enough for strollers and tennis bags. The 6 km Atlantic beach is the main draw, with the kasbah ruins on the hill above giving the only old-Morocco atmosphere. Souk El Had on Sundays is the family-friendly market for argan oil and kids' djellabas. Fishing port lunches at midday cost half what hotels charge for the same grilled sardines.
πΎWhy Pick an Agadir Hotel with Tennis
Agadir's hotel tennis culture goes back to the German and French package-holiday boom of the 1970s. The big resorts built courts as standard - Sofitel, Iberostar, Pickalbatros and Allegro all kept theirs maintained. The smaller four-star properties dropped real courts in the 2000s but kept table tennis as a low-cost amenity. We tag each hotel honestly - 'tennis court' means a fenced, full-size playing surface with net; 'table tennis' is exactly what it says.
The climate makes Agadir tennis-friendly almost year-round. Summer hits 28C with low humidity, winter stays at 18-22C. The Atlantic trade winds keep the courts cooler than inland Morocco - Marrakech is 10C hotter in July - but they also make ball flight unpredictable in the late afternoon. Most hotel courts here have lights, so 19:00 to 21:00 in summer is the sweet spot. Bring your own racquets if you have them; rental quality varies wildly.
For families, the tennis is bonus, not the main reason to come. Agadir's draw is wide flat beach, beach kids' clubs, the dolphin trips at the port and easy day trips to Paradise Valley or Taghazout for surf lessons. The hotels we picked all have kids' clubs, family rooms and beach access included - tennis just adds an extra activity to the rotation.
Parent's take
Two of our hotels have real tennis courts (Sofitel Thalassa, Allegro Agadir) - book a court at check-in if you plan to play, as they fill on busy weeks. The other three offer table tennis only - good for tired-after-beach evenings and rainy mornings. Don't book any of them expecting tennis to be the highlight; book them because they're solid family resorts that happen to have a court too.

Sofitel Agadir Thalassa Sea & Spa
Cite Founty
Excellent
593 reviews
A 5-star beachfront Sofitel on the Founty bay with a private stretch of Atlantic beach and a 2,000 sqm thalassotherapy spa. Indoor and outdoor pools, four restaurants, and a Soprasol kids' club for children 4 to 12 running mornings and afternoons. Golf du Soleil and Golf des Dunes are 7 km and 5 km away respectively, with hotel concierge organising tee times and golf shuttle.

Why families love Sofitel Agadir Thalassa Sea & Spa
Parents we spoke with said this works as a beach-and-golf base for two reasons. First, the beach is right there, fenced and lifeguarded, so the non-golfing parent has zero logistics. Second, the kids' club Soprasol is a real club with structured activities, not the parking room some hotels run. The thalasso spa offers seawater pools that older kids can use during family hours from 4pm to 6pm. The downside is the price point, especially in school holidays, and the fact that the 'kid-friendly buffet' label gets oversold - the restaurant is fine but not wow with picky eaters under six.

ROBINSON AGADIR - All Inclusive
Founty 2
Excellent
714 reviews
A premium German all-inclusive club resort next to the Royal Palace, with direct beach access, a separate Robins kids' club for ages 3 to 12, supervised teen programme for 13 to 17, and tennis academy. Golf du Soleil and Golf des Dunes are within 7 km, both organised through the resort sports desk including transfers, green fees and equipment for guests on the all-inclusive plan.

Why families love ROBINSON AGADIR - All Inclusive
ROBINSON Club's structured all-inclusive model with separate clubs for toddlers, primary-age kids and teens is unusual in Agadir and parents we spoke with said it is the main reason they pick this resort over the Sofitel. The teen programme runs from breakfast to 10pm with a sports focus including tennis lessons. Golf parents leave at 7am, kids head to the Robins club at 9am, and you all reconvene for lunch. The all-inclusive food is genuinely strong for an AI hotel, with cooked-to-order options at most stations. The room blocks are dated 1990s German chalet style and that aesthetic is not for everyone.

Iberostar Waves Founty Beach All Inclusive
Cite Founty
Very Good
1,733 reviews
A 4-star beachfront all-inclusive next to central Agadir, with one of the largest outdoor pools in the city, a Star Camp kids' club for ages 4 to 12, and Lucky Trotters mini programme for ages 8 months to 4 years. Spa with hammam. Golf du Soleil and Golf des Dunes are 6 to 8 km away and the resort sells golf packages with transfers, green fees and breakfast.

Why families love Iberostar Waves Founty Beach All Inclusive
The reason this resort gets so many returning families is the dual kids' club setup. Lucky Trotters takes children from 8 months which is genuinely rare in Agadir, so parents with babies actually get a real break. Star Camp for older kids is mid-day to evening with a real evening show. Golfers like the early shuttle, dropping you at Soleil for 7:15am tee. Two notes: the all-inclusive food is good but not Sofitel-level, and the rooms in the older block are due for refurbishment - request the renovated wing when you book.

Hotel Tildi Hotel & Spa
Rue Hubert Giraud Agadir Morocco, 80 000 Agadir, Morocco
Very Good
100 reviews
A four-star spa hotel a few minutes' walk from the beach, with a small but well-maintained outdoor playground in the rear garden. The playground sits in a quiet back-of-property zone away from the road, and the spa offers parents a parallel facility for an hour while the older kids play and a teenager watches the toddler.
From
β¬382/night
Why families love Hotel Tildi Hotel & Spa
Hotel Tildi punches above its star rating. The playground is small (one slide, two swings, climbing frame) but enough to occupy under-eights for an hour, and the courtyard layout means it stays shaded most of the day. Spa is a real plus when grandparents travel along: parents and grandparents alternate spa sessions while the kids play. Rooms are spacious by Moroccan standards, breakfast buffet handles toddlers patiently, and the price point sits well below the all-inclusive resorts on the seafront strip.

Hotel Club Almoggar Garden Beach
Bay of Agadir (north)
Good
1,900 reviews
A four-star beachfront family club with table tennis, kids' club, water sports, evening entertainment and a children's playground. No full tennis court but proper resort facilities and direct private beach access make it a strong all-round family option.
From
β¬110/night
Why families love Hotel Club Almoggar Garden Beach
Almoggar is club holiday territory - evening shows, animation team, kids' disco at 21:00. Two outdoor concrete table tennis tables in the garden which warp in the sun and roll the ball funny - bring better paddles than they provide. The real wins are the beach (private with loungers) and the kids' club (ages 4-12, French and English staff in school holidays). Family room was tight but the balcony fixed that. Avoid if you want quiet - the entertainment goes loud after dinner. Good if your kids are 6-10 and want stuff to do.

Allegro Agadir
Bay of Agadir (city centre)
Good
1,800 reviews
A four-star all-inclusive resort on the bay with a full hard tennis court, table tennis, kids' club and beachfront access. The most budget-friendly option here with tennis included on most all-inclusive rates - basic but functional racquets at the activities desk.
From
β¬95/night
Why families love Allegro Agadir
Allegro is the budget tennis option. The court is real and full-size but the surface is showing wear and the net needs adjusting. Racquets are basic Slazenger types but they string properly. Kids' club has tennis intros for ages 6+ a few mornings a week - check the schedule on day one. The all-inclusive food is fine not amazing - Moroccan tagines for lunch are the highlight. Beach is across a road but with crossing supervised. We paid under 100 EUR per night for a family room with tennis included - hard to beat for the price.

Dunes d'Or Ocean Club
Bay of Agadir (south, opposite main beach)
Good
1,500 reviews
A four-star club resort opposite Agadir Beach with table tennis, on-site water park, water sports, kids' club and evening entertainment. No full tennis court but the most family-amenities-per-euro of the table-tennis-only options on this list.
From
β¬105/night
Why families love Dunes d'Or Ocean Club
Dunes d'Or is the big-resort budget pick. Their on-site mini water park has three slides and saves you a 30 EUR taxi to Crocopark. Table tennis is in the entertainment lounge - covered, decent rubber on the paddles, four tables so usually no wait. The real value is the all-day animation team that takes the kids off your hands from 10:00 to 18:00. Beach is across the boulevard - guarded crossing. Rooms are dated 1990s-style but air-conditioning works. Don't expect five-star polish - expect a workable family week for under 110 EUR per night.

Agadir Beach Club
Agadir Beach
Good
3,216 reviews
A large beachfront all-inclusive with two pools, separate kids pool, playground and direct access to the southern end of Agadir Beach. The price point is the lowest on this list, and the all-inclusive covers three main buffet meals, beach bar drinks and evening animation.
From
β¬618/night
Why families love Agadir Beach Club
Agadir Beach Club is the budget pick for families who want basic all-inclusive without paying for extras they won't use. Parents say the rooms are simple but clean, pool area is busy in peak season, and the kids pool is supervised during core hours. Not the fanciest, but at under 620 euros per family per night in July including all meals, it's hard to beat for a beach-pool-buffet week.

Hotel Argana Agadir
Boulevard Mohamed 5, 80000 Agadir, Morocco
Good
100 reviews
A four-star hotel on Agadir's northern seafront with a children's playground next to the main pool deck. The hotel sits on the promenade with direct beach access and a kids' programme during school holidays that uses the playground area for outdoor activities. Half-board and all-inclusive plans available, and family rooms include a separated kids' area.
From
β¬1031/night
Why families love Hotel Argana Agadir
Hotel Argana is the budget-conscious seafront option. The playground is solid (slide, swings, sandbox) and visible from the pool, so parents in deck chairs keep an eye on play without standing up. Rooms are basic but clean, the buffet covers Moroccan and European staples, and the half-board plan works for families who want one full meal at the hotel and freedom for dinner in the city. Weak points: the lobby gets busy at check-in around 14h, and pool towels run out by 11h on July weekends, so grab them at breakfast.
π‘Practical Tips Before You Book
- 1Book courts at check-in or 24 hours ahead - most hotels here use a paper sheet at the activities desk, not an app. Sofitel and Allegro charge around 100-150 MAD per hour for non-guests and include guest play in higher room rates.
- 2Bring your own racquets if you can. Rental quality is mixed - Sofitel has decent Wilson racquets, Allegro's are basic and worn. Pack a child-size racquet (21 or 23 inch) if your kids play; you won't find them locally.
- 3Avoid 12:00-16:00 court time in summer - the surface temperature gets dangerous on hard courts and the sun is brutal. Morning 09:00-11:00 and evening 17:30 onward (with floodlights) work best for families. Mornings also catch the sea breeze.
- 4For table tennis hotels (Tildi, Almoggar, Dunes d'Or), bring your own paddle if you're picky - the hotel paddles are basic. Almoggar and Dunes d'Or have outdoor concrete tables which warp in the sun and play oddly; Tildi has indoor tables in the entertainment area.
- 5Combine tennis with the kids' club rotation. Most resorts run morning kids' club from 09:30 to 12:30 - perfect for a parent doubles session while children paint, swim or do animations. Confirm at check-in which days the club operates; some hotels close the kids' club on Sundays.
