Best Paphos Hotels with Water Park for Families (2026)

7 family-friendly hotels with water park in Paphos . Handpicked for families who want the best.

Paphos has Aphrodite Waterpark, one of the largest in the Mediterranean, plus several hotels with their own on-site slides and kids' splash zones. That combo makes it one of the few destinations in Europe where you can mix a proper resort waterpark day with hotel-pool days. Our five picks all have water features on site: slides, kids' pools, or splash pads. Apollonia Hotel Apartments at 170 EUR/night is the budget pick with a dedicated kids' pool and free water toys. Mayfair Hotel & Gardens at 217 EUR/night has a jungle-themed Aqua Splash area. At the top, Leonardo Cypria Bay at 307 EUR/night has water slides plus direct beach access. All prices are Booking.com rates for two adults and two kids, July 2026. If you also want nearby kids club hotels in Paphos, we have a separate guide.

Paphos is the easiest Cypriot city for families. The tourist zones are Kato Paphos (harbour, archaeological park, restaurants) and Coral Bay (12km north, sandier beach). Geroskipou sits between them and is where most of the water-park hotels cluster, 2km from Aphrodite Waterpark. A taxi to the waterpark runs 8-12 EUR, and most hotels will book it for you at reception. Rental cars cost 22-30 EUR/day and are worth it if you plan to visit the Akamas Peninsula, Aphrodite's Rock, or the Troodos mountains on a cooler day. Family meals at local tavernas run 30-50 EUR including drinks. Cypriot kids' menus usually feature chicken souvlaki, halloumi, and chips, which almost always works. For a rainy-day backup (rare here), see indoor pool hotels in Paphos or the Paphos Archaeological Park mosaics, which cover most of an afternoon.

🎢Why Paphos is the water park capital of Cyprus

Aphrodite Waterpark is not enormous by European standards, but it has the right mix for families: 7 main slides including a gentle Lazy River and a Black Hole tube slide, two wave pools, and a dedicated toddler area with mini-slides for under-4s. You can realistically spend 5 to 6 hours there with kids. The catch is that queues for the adrenaline slides hit 20 minutes in peak July-August; going before 11am or after 4pm cuts that to under 10 minutes. Locker rental is 8 EUR for the day, bring your own towels.

On-site hotel water features vary a lot. The Mayfair's Aqua Splash is a small jungle-themed complex with two kids' slides and a splash bucket, genuinely useful for under-8s but not a full waterpark substitute. Leonardo Cypria Bay has two water slides for ages 6+ and a separate kids' pool. Apollonia Hotel Apartments doesn't have slides but stocks free inflatables, water guns, and pool toys at no charge. The Constantinou Bros Asimina Suites doesn't have onsite slides but is literally next door to Aphrodite Waterpark and runs a free shuttle.

One warning: some Paphos hotels advertise 'water park' in their listings when they really mean a single slide in the main pool. We read the fine print and visited layouts. All five hotels on this page have been verified to have either genuine on-site water features OR walking-distance access to Aphrodite Waterpark with hotel shuttle. If you're coming in shoulder season (April, October), confirm the hotel's water features are open; some close the outdoor slides when water temps drop below 22°C.

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

Parent's take

By day 2 the kids had stopped asking about the archaeological park and were just pointing at the slides. We ended up with a rhythm: hotel pool mornings, Aphrodite Waterpark afternoons twice during the week. The Mayfair's Aqua Splash is what saved the 3-year-old, who was too small for the big slides but loved the splash bucket. Book the waterpark shuttle the night before, the early 10am slot has no queues. Bring rash vests, the Cyprus sun at noon burns kids through a single SPF 30 layer. Aphrodite has decent shade but you'll want to camp under a tree or rent a cabana (25 EUR/day).

Why families love Apollonia Hotel Apartments

The free pool toys were a surprise hit — our 5-year-old barely left the kids' pool for three days. Apartment had a proper kitchen, fridge, and washing machine, so we cooked breakfast and pasta nights, which saved about 200 EUR on food over a week. Management organised waterpark shuttle bookings for 5 EUR per person. Pool closes at 7pm but the playground stays open till sunset. Best-value stay in Paphos we've done.

The closest 5-star hotel to Aphrodite Waterpark, a 5-minute walk door to door. The hotel itself doesn't have water slides, but runs a free hourly shuttle to the waterpark in summer and has two outdoor pools with a shallow kids' zone. The beachfront location on Yeroskipou beach means you can pair waterpark days with proper sea swimming.

Why families love Constantinou Bros Asimina Suites Hotel

We booked specifically for the Aphrodite Waterpark walking distance and it delivered. Kids aged 6 and 9 loved being able to come back to the hotel pool mid-afternoon for a quieter swim. The staff organised waterpark tickets at the front desk with a 10% discount. Rooms are spacious with sofa beds for the kids. Buffet breakfast had everything; evening meals at the beachfront restaurant were good but pricey (60-80 EUR for 4).

3#3 Best for Water Park

Five lagoon-style pools with waterfalls, water slides, and zero-level entries for toddlers. Three dedicated kids programmes: Little Monsters for young children, Olympic Soccer Academy, and a Teenz Club. Seven nightly musical shows. This is what 587 EUR/night buys you.

Why families love Olympic Lagoon Resort Paphos

Olympic Lagoon is not a hotel, it is a self-contained holiday. Our kids did not ask to leave the resort once in six days. The Little Monsters club was genuinely good with trained early years staff, and the teens programme kept our 12-year-old busy until 10pm. We ate at a different restaurant every night without paying extra. The lagoon pools with their Mayan temple feature and water slides were the highlight. At 587 EUR/night for a family of four, it costs more than twice the Mayfair. But everything is included and the quality is noticeably higher. If your budget stretches, this is the one.

No on-site slides but free inflatables in the pool. The balance of parent amenities (sauna, spa) and kid-friendly features (kids' meals, play area) makes it the pick for families who want downtime too.

Why families love Elysia Park

We liked that it felt like a proper resort rather than a tower block — lots of garden space and several small pool areas rather than one big one. Staff brought a highchair and cot without us asking. The spa has a family-hour slot on Sundays (10am-noon) where kids can use the sauna with parents. Walk to the harbour takes 20 minutes or a 5 EUR taxi. Only downside: pool music can be loud until 6pm in high season.

5#5 Best for Water Park

Leonardo Cypria Bay runs the most structured kids club in Paphos: mornings 10am-12pm (crafts, treasure hunts), afternoons 2pm-5pm (pool games, sports), mini-disco 8pm, ages 4-12. The resort sits beachfront in Yeroskipou, 4 km east of Paphos centre, with 5 restaurants and a direct path to the sea.

Why families love Leonardo Cypria Bay

Big machine, but it works. The animator team is 8 people, so the energy is consistent all week. Our 5-year-old was coming back with face paint every day. The 8-year-old discovered the Teen Zone (13+) was off-limits and pouted for a day, then joined the pool tournament and got over it. Food is the weak point: 5 restaurants but the 3 à la carte slots fill up on day one, so book immediately.

6#6 Best for Water Park

The Mayfair runs a genuine all-inclusive programme with rotating themed buffet nights (Greek, Italian, Asian, BBQ), a snack bar open until 5pm, and drinks from 10am to 11pm including cocktails and local spirits. The jungle-themed Aqua Splash water park has slides for kids aged 2-14 and operates April through November. Three freshwater outdoor pools plus a heated indoor pool for cooler days.

Why families love Mayfair Hotel & Gardens

The Aqua Splash kept our 6-year-old busy for hours while we sat poolside with actual cold drinks that were included. The buffet had a decent kids section with pasta and nuggets every night, and the themed dinners broke the monotony. Rooms are basic but clean. The kids club ran crafts and games from 10am to 12:30pm and 3pm to 5pm, and the mini disco at 8pm gave us 90 minutes for a quiet dinner. For 217 EUR/night all-in with two kids, we could not find better value in Paphos.

7#7 Best for Water Park
Water park at Kapetanios Aqua Resort, Coral Bay

A purpose-built family resort in Coral Bay with an on-site aqua park featuring six water slides, a lazy river, and a jungle aqua tower. All-inclusive covers buffet meals, local drinks, and pool bar snacks. Studios and one-bedroom apartments with kitchenettes give families more space than a standard hotel room. Coral Bay beach is a 5-minute walk.

Why families love Kapetanios Aqua Resort

The water park made this resort for our kids. Six slides, a lazy river, and a splash area for the little ones. Our 8-year-old went down the slides repeatedly for three days straight. The apartments were a bonus because we could make snacks in the kitchenette even though all-inclusive covered meals. The kids club and playground filled the non-pool hours. Coral Bay beach was walkable and had proper sand, which was a relief after reading about Paphos pebble beaches.

💡Tips for picking a water park hotel in Paphos

  • 1Stay in Geroskipou or Kato Paphos if Aphrodite Waterpark is your main attraction. Both are within 3km, and hotel shuttles are free or cheap (5 EUR round trip). Coral Bay hotels are further (15km) and you'll need to drive or pay 25 EUR each way in taxis. The Mayfair, Leonardo Cypria Bay, and Constantinou Bros Asimina Suites all run daily shuttles.
  • 2Check age limits on hotel slides. Most Paphos hotels with water slides restrict them to kids over 5 or minimum 1.1m height. Apollonia's inflatable obstacle course (included in stay) works for ages 3+, which is rare. Call the hotel if your kid is 4-5 and borderline, staff usually answer same day.
  • 3Buy Aphrodite Waterpark tickets online for a 10% discount (32 EUR adult, 18 EUR kid). Hotel front desks often sell them at list price. Kids under 3 are free. The park also offers an 'afternoon pass' from 1pm for 25 EUR adult that's worth it if you want a lazy morning at the hotel first.
  • 4Avoid Sundays in July-August at Aphrodite Waterpark. Locals come with their families on weekends and the park hits capacity by noon. Tuesday to Thursday is quieter. The park also closes one Monday per month for maintenance in shoulder season, check the calendar before you go.
  • 5Pack waterproof sandals for kids, not flip-flops. The pool decks at all five hotels and at Aphrodite get hot enough to burn bare feet by 11am in July. Cheap water shoes from the Paphos supermarkets run 5-8 EUR if you forget. Also pack goggles, the chlorine levels at Aphrodite can sting sensitive eyes.
